SFDR 2.0: Getting it right for EU investors and savers
On 1 July, Eurosif is co-hosting an event in the European Parliament alongside SFDR 2.0 Rapporteur Gerbrandy (Renew Europe), and Shadow Rapporteurs Wolters (S&D), Niedermayer (EPP), and Peter-Hansen (Greens/EFA). The discussions will give MEPs and their teams a chance to hear directly from the European investors who will implement the revised Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.
The panel "SFDR 2.0 in practice - How to achieve clear categorisation and end investor information"Β will run from 12.30-14.00 CEST.
βThe panel will be followed by a Q&A and open discussion. Panellists include:
-
βEric Christian Pedersen, Head of Responsible Investments, Nordea Asset Management
-
βPiet Klop, Director of Strategic relations, PGGM, pension investor in the Netherlands
-
βLouise Schreiber, Head of the Sustainability research on listed assets, Mirova
-
βPiotr Dmuchowski, Asset management CEO and CIO at Poland Development Fund asset management
-
βJulia Symon, Head of Research & Advocacy, Finance Watch
βThe panel will look at how the proposed changes to the SFDR will potentially affect the sustainable investment market. It will be an opportunity to discuss legislative details, such as criteria and exclusion clauses, to understand how the rules will work in practice. Speakers will discuss how to ensure new categories are technically workable for the industry and clear for everyday savers. Additional representatives from European fund managers will also be present in the audience to share their perspectives and enrich the discussion.
Due to limited room capacity in the European Parliament, attendance for a wider audience is restricted to online participation.
